On the afternoon of 22nd June I
applied artificial respiration to a Chinese male in Murray
Barracks. I had previously seen Pte. Burgess working on him.
He was unconscious and I should say suffering from the effects of swallowing water and shock. I have passed the annual army stretcher bearing course. All his muscles were trembling hence I declared shock. I tried to get water out and fresh
air into him. I got some water out of him

was bleeding from his lip the wound on his head was not
bleeding. I handed him over to a police ambulance which came
